There's a reason it's only $5.95

So my friend Lydia and I went out for lunch and decided to have Olive Garden. We both were craving the soup and salad for the great price of $5.95. When we were seated a gentleman told us he would be right with us. About 5 seconds later a woman; who must be the manager; greeted us and asked us if anyone had taken our drink order. No one had since we had just been seated. So she takes our drink order and walks away, then our waiter walks up and asks to take our drink order and we nicely say that the other woman had gotten them and he said "who...her?" and we said yes. So after that our waiter says absolutely nothing to us but the bare minimum. The only thing we can think of is that he must have thought that we complained to the manager. We had to ask for refills on everything. As we were enjoying our soup and salad we both questioned why he was being so short...we hadn't been rude about anything. That's what makes the end of our meal so freaking hilarious. He looks at us and says "Would you like to take some home with you?" So we think that he is going to give us each a bowl of soup and a box of salad....boy were we wrong. He comes back to the table and drops off a plastic bowl and box for our "leftovers". Check out the pictures below to see what we got to take home!! Lydia and I laughed so hard we were crying and he was like..."something funny must have happened".

Lesson learned: When eating the soup and salad for lunch at Olive Garden make sure you ask for more before you request to go boxes!!

Hope all is well,

in·spire- to exert an animating, enlivening, or exalting influence on

My mother was telling me about a gift that she was giving to my FMIL; it was a framed picture of my FMIL, BOFMIL and my sister Kate with the word "inspire" on it. So it got me thinking....who inspires me?

There are tons of people who inspire me....but the one who inspires me the most would have to be my mother. Every time I'm feeling down or just in a "funk" I can always count on her to get me through it, or when I'm upset about "The Zombie" she helps me see the positive side of things. She is the one who helped me become the FABULOUS Tree Hugger that I am!!

As we were chatting we decided that we need to start running more. We discussed everything we needed which included:

good tunes- Check!
good shoes- Check!
good distractions= tight butts in running shorts- Check!

So with all that being said...Mother and I have decided to start SLOWLY training for the Derby mini!!!! Since I am here and she is there we are going to need all the LOCAL motivation there is. If anyone else wants to join us just let me know....we could make a party out of it!! Oh wait...we all can run the mini and then unwind at the "Unstable Clown Party"!!!!

If you have built castles in the air, your work need not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put foundations under them. ~Henry David Thoreau

So....who inspires you???

New to this...

So I am going to try this "blogging" and see how it goes. Since I don't get to see my family that often and blogging is working for them I decided to start one as well so people don't forget what "Sissy", "Kikn", "Kay-Kristin" or "Sis" looks like or who she is.

So this year has been quite the "year". Although I didn't make any New Year's resolutions, I still managed to get a lot accomplished. I am healthier and happier. What more could you ask for?!?!? I hope all is well.
